How to Use
Give it time
Allow the melted wax pool to reach the edges of the jar. This will typically take between two and four hours, particularly during the first few burns.
Soy wax can “remember” how it was previously burned. Allowing the wax to melt to the edges during the first few burns helps prevent tunnelling and encourages your candle to perform at its best throughout its life.
Start at room temperature
Always allow your candle to reach room temperature before lighting it. Burning a cold candle may result in an uneven wax pool and reduced scent throw.
Trim the wick
Once the candle has completely cooled, trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before lighting it again. This helps control the flame, reduce smoking and prevent the wick from “mushrooming.”
Avoid drafts
Burn your candle in a well-ventilated room, but keep it away from open windows, vents, ceiling fans and other drafts. Moving air can cause excessive flickering, smoking and an uneven burn.
Extinguish it properly
Extinguish the candle once the wax pool reaches the edges of the jar or after a maximum of four hours—whichever comes first.
A wick dipper can help extinguish the flame with less smoke and preserve the fragrance. Never use the candle lid to extinguish the flame.
Keep it clean
If soot appears on the jar, extinguish the candle and allow it to cool completely before wiping the container with a warm, damp cloth. Keep the wick trimmed and centred before every burn.
Store it carefully
Replace the lid once the candle has cooled and store it in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. For the best results, burn your candle indoors only.
Discontinue use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.

Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface and keep it away from anything flammable.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it out of reach of children and pets and do not move it while it is lit or while the wax remains hot.
Although our candles are made with soy wax and cotton wicks, every lit candle presents a fire and heat risk and must be used with care.
