When your Ivy & Sage product is finished, consider cleaning and reusing its vessel or recycling the individual components wherever your local facilities allow.
Thank you for supporting a small team that cares deeply about what it creates.
Every Ivy & Sage product is handmade in Los Angeles by our small team, without huge machines.
From mixing our fragrances and filling each bottle to applying labels, packaging orders and completing quality checks, every stage is carried out by our team.
Keeping our production in-house allows us to stay close to the process and give each product the care and attention it deserves-from making and filling to packing and shipping.
We keep enough of your favourites on hand, but we don’t believe in making huge quantities just for them to sit on a warehouse shelf.
Because everything is made by our small team, we can produce more as demand grows. This helps prevent finished products from going out of date and being wasted, while also avoiding the need to buy and store excessive amounts of raw materials before they’re needed.
Making this way also means we don’t need an unnecessarily large warehouse using additional energy to operate. It’s a more flexible, thoughtful way of producing and it means we can focus on making more of what our customers genuinely love.
All Ivy & Sage products are paraben-free.
We’re continuing to review the ingredients and materials we use so we can give our customers clear, accurate information and make considered improvements wherever possible.
Many of our products are packaged in glass vessels, for example our Room and Linen sprays and Body Oils.
Once your product is empty, we encourage you to thoroughly clean the vessel and find another use for it wherever possible.
Our car diffuser bottle tops are made from a schema tree, also known as a Needle Wood Tree (which grows yummy tea!) bringing a natural material into one of our best-loved products.
Some of our current packaging still contains plastic. We don’t want to pretend we have everything figured out, but we’ll continue to explore where reusable or lower-waste alternatives could work without compromising product quality.
Our products are made, packed and shipped from one central location in Los Angeles.
Orders are sent using cardboard outer packaging, which can generally be recycled when clean and dry. Recycling facilities vary, so please check your local guidelines before disposing of any packaging.
We know sustainability is an ongoing process, not a box that can simply be ticked.
We’re proud of the considered choices we already made, including producing our products in-house, using glass across parts of our collection and packing orders in recycled cardboard packaging. We also recognise that there is more for us to learn and improve.
As Ivy & Sage grows, we’ll continue reviewing our ingredients, packaging and processes to find realistic ways to reduce waste while protecting the quality and experience our customers love.
